Laura Waweru is a former “smuggler” who delivered Bibles into parts of Eastern Europe in the last months of the Cold War. She spent March 1989 through the end of that year delivering Bibles to the persecuted Christians primarily in Romania and Bulgaria. She has also traveled extensively throughout the other Eastern Bloc countries. Currently, Laura lives with her husband Walter and three teenage children in the Chicago suburbs.
